The organization was conceptualized in Feb 2019 after the Dusuit Hotel terrorist attack, at a time when the country was concerned with insecurity issue. After in-depth thought of ways to curb insecurity we realized that, unemployment and poverty among majority youths (70% of the population in Kenya)is a major factor and a threat, hence the inception of JVSA association of technicians in the informal (juakali) sector which incorporates, mobilizes technicians on board in the small industries to share, volunteer their skills to the desperate, vulnerable youths in the slum and low income estates ,this is to locally address the locked out youths at the grass root level by engaging the community in giving informal training, complimenting formal vocational training to up their skills for employment and entrepreneurship. Officially registered under societies Act R51963.
We liaise with technicians around the country who are willing to provide training to the idle unemployed youths at their place of work voluntarily without fee charged.
